- Based on comments in this newsgroup from both Elite users and ZyXEL, and
- as a very happy U-1496E user, I'd have to say if you just want an analog V.34
- modem, go with the Courier at the moment. ZyXEL has said that the current
- version of the Elite will never do V.34+, and they're still working on
- getting bugs out and V.34 analog performance up to par with everyone else.

- ZyXEL's stated view of the Elite is that it is primarily an ISDN modem and
- secondarily an analog V.34 modem. If you plan to upgrade to ISDN relatively
- soon, then consider getting an Elite.
